A lovely article in the Mercury this week about club member Margaret Hart and Jo-Jo the lurcher.
Margaret recently completed the beginners course (and has moved up into the Improvers 1 class with great success). I'm sure all club members will agree that they have done fantastically well - keep it up Margaret & Jo-Jo!

Training Day September 2004

Another thought provoking and entertaining training day for all the trainers, with special disorientation techniques being employed to keep us all on our toes!

A deep look at all the exercises which made us all think about how they are put across, as well as alternative teaching methods.

Training Day Feb 2004

It's not just the members that need training. All the trainers met up to cover old and new training methods. The day organised by Carol, Phil and David covered some of the more of the advanced topics as well as offering a welcome recap on the some of the more standard exercises.

Anne Lee

Saturday 7th Feb 2004 was the day we all wished Anne a fond farewell. Anne has been the longest continuous member of the club and started all the way back in 1976. In true club fashion a surprise party was held for Anne at Papillion in Stapleford. Anne oblivious to the dastardly plot walked into the restaurant. She spotted a couple of familiar faces and thought what a funny coincidence that two of the trainers should be in the same restaurant. This turned to stunned disbelief when she rounded the corner to see entire motley crew of Trainers and Committee members. Tears were shed and eyes were wiped - and this was just the gentlemen of the club
